Prententious?
Perhaps.
Needs lime?
Not really.
A great tasting beer?
Definitely.
Best for summer barbies this Mexican beauty sets the stardard. A light crisp beer best served ice cold. If
you want to shove a slice of lime in the top to keep the flies off - go ahead.

Many people might consider San Miguel as an alternative to Corona, but it isn’t. It’s a much darker, richer beer than it’s trendier amigo. More of a cold night in front of a fire than a summer barbeque beer, the San Miguel packs lots of flavour but not too much strength. At 5% you can still enjoy a sunny day in Ireland with your family the next day.
May be a bit sickly for some people tastes but, even though I’m no fan of treacley beers, this one hits the spot fine. Fiona likes it too.

For some reason I don't get Kronenbourg 1664 bottles too often. It's not Mexican or cool, it's French.
But it certainly hits the spot. It's light and refreshing and not sickly sweet in the way Stella bottles are.
Other nice thing about it is it's only 5% so you can still enjoy a rainy morning in Ireland with your family the next day.
